Whitewater Rafting in Palmerston

The upper Rangitikei gorges provide the most exciting Grade 2  whitewater adventure in the North Island. Our fun rafting starts from as little as a one hour to 4 hours.

1)This fun one-hour river trip makes a perfect quick stopover adventure when travelling along SH1. A great option for groups that would like to fit a lot into a day however moderate in grade. It starts beneath the 300 foot high Papa cliffs at the Mangaweka Camping Grounds splashes through numerous fun rapids and takes in beautiful stands of native bush. Trips depart daily at 10 am 12 pm and 2 pm and is $90pp. Grade 2 If your group wants something a bit more extreame try the Grade 5 option starts at $175pp

2) Explore the beautiful Utiku Sandstone Gorge of the Rangitikei. This trip will take about half a day river times varying with river flows and includes light snack food. This trip departs daily at 10 am & 2 pm. If you want more adventure, simply add kayaks to this trip. It is easy, and no experience is required. $180pp
