- Start planning as early as you can, however 1 year before is perhaps a bit too early. 4-6 months is a great time, especially if you are going to Wellington for a weekend away and the cost will be higher due to accommodation.
- If you are after accommodation try and avoid those weekends where there is an All Black game, or a big concert because it is near impossible to get in anywhere. And on top of that prices are way more.
- Remember you can't please everyone - the most important person to make happy is the bride. Obviously, if she is a bit of a bridezilla, either hand the planning back to her..... or just create a great hens party to the best of your ability. Any great friend should be happy with that.
- Too many chiefs? Involve the bridal party, but that is it. That is a great circle of friends and between you all, the hens day can be organised. Remember you don't all have to agree, simply work together in organising a dear friend last day of freedom.
